What is Google AdWords?

Google Adwords is a pay-per-click (PPC) advertisement website. Unlike other PPC platforms like Facebook, AdWords allows advertisers basic ways to reach people through the Google Search Network and through the Google Display Network.

While these methods are functionally very different, they both use a PPC bidding method, where advertisers bid to hold their advertisements displayed to the appropriate public.

The Google Search Network enables to show advertisements to users who are actively seeking for the keywords that are selected. For landscaping business, it bid's to have ad show up every time a user types in “Landscaper in Tallahassee.”

These “text ads” are a unique chance to attract users who are at the research and purchasing stages of digital sales funnel. Text ads are tagged with a little “Ad” tag next to the site URL.

Google Display Network ads run differently. Rather than showing advertisements to users who are actively searching for a product or service online, “display ads” or “banner advertisements” are found on sites you think your target audience will be on.

Since they aren’t actively seeking what you have to sell, people are normally less likely to click on banner advertisements. Sometimes people don’t understand what they need until they see it, so display advertisements can help to get in front of possible customers who might never find a company on their own.

Display ads also serve well for re-engagement campaigns, where to show ads to people who have already visited the website in the purposes of getting them to come back again.

Is Google AdWords better than other advertisement platforms?
There are a lot of PPC platforms to pick from. There are Facebook and Instagram Ads platform, Twitter Ads, Pinterest Promoted Pins and so on.

There are also other search engine platforms other than Google ads, for example, Bing Ads and Yahoo Search Ads, however, despite all the competition, Google AdWords is still one of the best ways to reach your target audience.

Ranking up in Google

There are a lot of ways to get your website to the first page of the search results, but you can't focus on only one of them, because it can hurt your ranking. Even if the one aspect is perfectly done all the others should be too or else it will make the titanic situation. One edge of the website will be too heavy and it will just sink. Try to do as many of Search Engine Optimization as possible, starting from content, to backlinks to user experience. This triangle makes your website to stand out if it is correctly done.

What about backlinks?
Backlinks are simply links put out to the other websites making traffic to yours. By doing this tactic you should be careful because it can rank-up or damage your site. If you put your backlinks to offtopic websites or write spammy comments with your link, then google algorithm will consider your website as unappropriate and will de-rank it in search results.

Good quality backlinks are put on the same topic sites with organic comments and do not look like spam. The higher Mozorank of the website you put your link in, the better the backlink quality.
